June - August 2022 Similar to the previous season, A Summer of Play leveraged the immediate space to introduce our interpretative elements while featuring a contemporary artwork installation. This installation was conceptualized by artist Julia Vogl, who utilized community voices to construct a data visualization based on their answers in the form of colored pinatas. Throughout the season, we smashed the pinatas to reveal community affirmations, craft materials, and candy that addressed barriers to play and examined who we enjoy play.
